Bearded Dragons

Bearded dragons have this very “tough on the outside, puppy-dog on the inside” vibe that makes them super lovable.

Visually, they look like miniature desert dragons — broad, wedge-shaped heads, round curious eyes, and a body covered in soft, flexible scales. Their name comes from that spiky “beard” under their chin, which they can puff out and darken when they’re stressed, excited, or just trying to look dramatic. Honestly, it’s like their built-in mood lighting.

Color-wise, they can be all sorts of warm earth tones: sandy tan, orange, yellow, reddish hues… basically the color palette of a sunset in reptile form. When they’re relaxed, they flatten their bodies a bit and bask, looking like they’re soaking up every drop of warmth like a tiny sun worshipper.
